Through the capital window

  • The Front Gallery & Cafe 84 Wattle Street Lyneham, ACT, 2602 Australia (map)

Immerse yourself in the vibrant journey through Canberra’s seasons and everyday stillness.

“Through The Capital Window” captures Canberra’s spirit through abstract and contemporary expression.  Inspired by Van Gogh, Monet, and Guljee, each piece transforms landscapes and still moments into vivid reflections of colour, light, and emotion.

Through a blend of abstract and contemporary expression, each work captures a fleeting moment — the shimmer of Lake Burley Griffin at dawn, the blush of tulips at Floriade, or the warmth of a vase catching afternoon light. The series celebrates both the outside world that inspires and the inner world that reflects.

Influenced by the emotive brushwork of Van Gogh, the light-play of Claude Monet, and the spiritual abstraction of Guljee, my paintings explore how colour, texture, and movement can transcend realism. Each canvas becomes a sensory space — a window into how I experience Canberra: vibrant, poetic, and deeply alive.

This collection is not just a portrayal of a city; it’s an invitation to pause, to feel, and to see familiar spaces with renewed wonder — where every reflection, shadow, and bloom becomes a story.
